Role Responsibilities
As a field Engineer at HILTI, your responsibilities will include:
- Securing technical business through specifications and providing technical support through regular planned visits to various stakeholders within the construction industry.
- Coordinating efforts to convert specifications and approvals into sales, while assisting Account Managers in building competence with engineering products.
- Maximizing the sales potential of HILTI products and services by specifying and converting sales opportunities with selected customer groups and projects.
- Managing sales and application opportunities in a defined list of key regional projects through project management and coordination of all engineering and sales resources.
- Developing, analyzing, and managing business plans related to the customer database to effectively maintain and grow sales.
- Demonstrating consultative selling skills, convincing customers of the need for technical products, software, and services.
- Building strong relationships with customers and helping them find innovative and cost-efficient solutions.
- Providing engineering support and coverage to a defined group of designers, both consulting engineers and focused customers, to gain specifications through HILTI's differentiated engineering service.
- Offering technical support and training to the HILTI sales force and customers to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering support service.
- Developing strong relationships with technical decision-makers to achieve favorable HILTI Product Specifications within the assigned segment.
- Attaining specifications, engineering standards, and driving sales opportunities through planned calls with consultants and contractors within the assigned segments.
- Collaborating closely with the sales team to resolve contractors' issues using HILTI engineering products and proactively generating new business opportunities.

What you need is:
To be succesful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelors degree or advanced diploma in civil or structural engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in the construction industry, gained in a design office or on a construction site.
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry.
- The ability to identify and understand customer needs.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Strong presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- A high-performing, career-driven, self-disciplined, and supportive team player with strong ethical values.
- Well-developed business acumen.
- Willingness to travel.
