Primary Purpose And Overall Objective Of The Job
Trainee Field Service Engineer will undergo a 12-month on-the-job training program that will be relevant to their qualifications to equip them to enter to the formal job market. The activities include installation, training, preventative maintenance and repair of the instrument base within the assigned are as well as the administrative actions required to accurately reflect these activities.

Salary: R10 000 pm
Main Accountabilities
- Perform client-site servicing, repair and/or installation of company product(s). This job may include any aspect of product field support, including system hardware and software, medical or laboratory devices and equipment and systems networking
- Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
- Serve as customer contact on technical and service related problems.
- Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures. Determined most cost-effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime.
- Prepare reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues.
- South African Graduates who completed modules/credits for the qualification mentioned below with minimum of 60%.
- Minimum study level S4 or technical school equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering studying program.
- Knowledge with mechanical, electrical, vacuum and laser system; basic networking skills.
- Knowledge in resolving customer problem and providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office programs; basic networking skills are not required but preferred.
- Valid drivers license and Own Vehicle are not required but preferred.
- Must be able to work independently, effectively multitask to meet deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills such as excellent verbal and written capabilities through previous experiences.
- Exhibit good independent decision-making ability, including problem resolution.
- Exhibit independent working practices and demonstrate and transferable skills that contribute to excellence in work ethics,
- Demonstrate ability to develop a working knowledge on multiple complex electrical systems.
- Scope and Resources Accountability: Provide world class technical service to customers based in South Africa.
- Financial Indicators (revenue, budget, etc.): Department Revenue contributions.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Customer Satisfaction, Remote Fix, Accurate Technical Complaint Management, PM on Time and Workshop turnaround time
