Field Service Engineer II
We have an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join us at our Midrand office. As a Field Service Engineer II atHoneywell, you will have the opportunity to provide technical support andexpertise to our customers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting andresolving technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of oursolutions, and driving customer satisfaction. Your expertise and commitment toexcellence will play a crucial role in the success of our field serviceoperations and the growth of our business. You will report directly to ourField Service Engineering Manager and work out of our Honeywell Midrandlocation although this role will not be office based as you will be required totravel. In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and safetyof our customers' operations by providing exceptional technical support inprojects and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and expertise for our solutions in Projects and Services agreements
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for our customers across South Africa and the Sub-Saharan Africa region
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of our solutions
- Conduct training sessions for customers and mentor/ coach field service engineers
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, and provide recommendations for improvement
- Work with the Sales team to drive additional orders and technically support the proposals
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics or Equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in field service engineering, with a focus on complex technical solutions
- Honeywell Experion (DCS)/ Safety Manager (ESD) SCADA or other DCS and Safety systems.
- Building Access control systems, CCTV and Fire and Gas will be advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Availability to travel to customers within South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationships
- Strong leadership, mentoring, negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry advancements
- Results-oriented approach and ability to drive projects to successful completion
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Broad knowledge of Honeywell products and their applications thereof.
- Honeywell service applications. (Applicable CRM and SAP)
