You will be working as Field Service Technician and will be part of Electrification business Area for Services division based in Durban, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Service Team Leader and will be responsible for executing service delivery according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. Delivering excellent customer service to satisfy customer needs.
Your responsibilities
- Delivering a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project or company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals
- Safely performing testing and commissioning functions within the given time frame
- Assisting vendor representatives and site operations in commissioning and startup (energization) activities for medium and low voltage electrical systems
- Preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative
- Proactively planning and executing work on a first-time right approach with customers and ensuring the job is done on time and on quality
- Providing technical guidance to associates and acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge about switchgear repairs and testing
- Should have a drivers license and comfortable to travel
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Preference will be given to EE candidates.
