Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Bonus will be qualified or working towards qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (SA) and/or ACCA and/or CIMA, or currently completing articles.
- Up to two years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting, (for candidates with post-articles experience).
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Industry experience in Consulting, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Financial Services will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and financial compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to relevant accounting standards.
- Audit and Compliance: Assist with internal compliance reviews and ensure adherence to accounting principles, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, identifying key trends and variances, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team in developing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to facilitate strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Taxation: Support tax planning and ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns, adhering to applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Cost Management: Analyze cost structures and recommend cost optimization strategies while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance accounting processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Cash Management: Monitor cash flows, optimize working capital, and manage treasury functions to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Financial Systems: Utilize accounting software and financial tools effectively to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, management, and external stakeholders to provide financial insights and ensure transparent communication.
