Finance Data Analyst IT - Analyst, Data Management

ENVIRONMENT:

A Technology, data, and services company based in the Cape Winelands is looking for a reporting wizard to build Finance reporting based on best practices for the entire group of estates. You will be joining an established data team consisting of data analysts, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) administrators, and engineers. You will need experience in financial services or banking industry, or well-versed in working with financial data, experience working with Sage X3 or similar ERP systems, a degree in analytical or Finance field and a minimum of 5 years' experience.

DUTIES:

• Design, build and maintain standard financial and operational reports combining Sage X3, Micros Simphony, Ecommerce databases, and other system sources.
• Build and automate reports and dashboards for various business users based on specific requirements.
• Manage new report requests from start to end. This will include gathering business requirements, designing, building, rolling out, and training users.
• Compile ad hoc views and data deep dives to answer specific business questions.
• Identify opportunities and make recommendations to business areas by interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
• Provide documentation, technical specifications, and training where required.

Technologies:

• ERP system: Sage X3.
• Point-of-Sale system: Oracle Micros Simphony.
• Data warehouse: BigQuery.
• Data reporting and visualisation: Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, and Google Looker Studio.
• CRM: HubSpot.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive reporting experience with a BI tool, e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Data Studio.
• Strong analytical and data-wrangling skills.

Desirable Skills And Experience

• Experience in financial services or banking industry, or well-versed in working with financial data.
• Experience working with Sage X3 or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Degree in analytical or Finance field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience.
