Key Purpose

Prepare and manage annual budget for a profit centre within Discovery Health. Collate, prepare and interpret reports, including variance analysis and providing the business owner with monthly reports to enable business objectives. Ensure capitation fee doctors are accurately paid each month and that participating schemes are billed each month.

Areas Of Responsibility May Include But Not Limited To
  • Manage a small team of finance administrators
  • Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecast updates
  • Prepare and submit monthly scheme invoices
  • Oversea monthly doctor invoicing and payments
  • Monthly management account reporting to business owner
  • Liaising with Treasury, Procurement and other departments for efficient processes and working relationships
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Prepare ad hoc reports

Personal Attribute And Skills

Education

Education and Experience
  • Minimum 3-year accounting degree
  • Honours degree would be preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years finance related work experience
  • Accounting experience from trial balance to balance sheet.
  • Experience working with Sage x3 accounting software advantageous.
  • Computer literate
  • Competent with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook
