- Reporting directly to the Head of Finance & Operations, the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance department and all its functions.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day running of the financial functions of company including accounts payable, inventory (including costing of local and imported products), Cashbook and bank, as well as elements of accounts receivable and administration.
- Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of accounts computation, and review of monthly journal entries. (General ledger and sub ledger)
- Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed asset registers
- Management of the monthly management accounts reporting and review process in accordance with IFRS standards
- Maintain high quality financial disciplines and controls throughout the company and ensure that measures to mitigate risk are effectively implemented.
- Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting policies to ensure compliance.
- Oversee the preparation of financial and management reports and ensure the financial results of the business are complete, accurate and timeously recorded in accordance with applicable accounting standards, relevant legislation and Company guidelines.
- Preparation of financial reporting packs, which provide meaningful insight into performance and intitives required for Management committee meetings
- Coordinate and prepare the companies for annual audit including preparation of the Annual Financial Statements.
- Management and Preparation of the companies annual budget process and quarterly forecasts
- Continuous tracking and monitoring of expenses in accordance with budgeted and forecasted figures
- Ensuring Supplier paynements and other expenses are made in accordance to company policies and controls
- Effective cash forecasting and cash flow management
- Efective review and reporting of working capital and its requirements
- Effective management and review of forex forecasting and requirements
- Management of the regulatory and tax compliance processes, including preparation and review of entities calculations and tax returns and management of e-filling profile.
- Calculation, review and submission of VAT 201 returns, review of employees tax returns and statutory tax returns.
- Management of staff within the department, including leave planning and performance management which includes metorship and coaching to build operational capicity
- Review monthly BBBEE reporting and implement BBEE Initiatives
- Manage BBBEE verification audit.
