Responsibilities
- Analyse records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments and obligations incurred
- Provide financial and statistical data to internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in quarterly forecast and annual budgeting process
- Ensure correct revenue recognition in terms of company and accounting standards
- Report on and analysis of financial results and trends
- Assist with calculation and completion of company taxation, including VAT and PAYE
- Assist with completion of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SME's
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the finance function
- CA(SA) / CIMA / ACCA / Honours in Accounting with Articles
- 5 - 10 years' experience (dependent on qualification) in a senior accounting and or senior management role within a medium to large company
- In-depth knowledge of industry norms in manufacturing / engineering / construction
- Experience and understanding of financial controls, accounting and tax legislation including IFRS and Company's Act
- Experience and understanding of treasury, banking and exchange controls
- Ability to build a finance team that partners effectively with the rest of the business
- Exceptional communication skills from ground level to executive level
- Inherent leadership qualities with an inclusive and transparent management style
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Detailed understanding of ERP systems
