Purpose Of The Position
We are looking for a reliable Financial Manager that will analyse everyday financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans, including reviewing financial documents to ensure tax compliance and collaboration with other departments to achieve monetary goals. The goal is to enable the company's leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company's objectives and automate all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare board pack reports.
- Daily interactions with operational, sales, and accounts teams.
- Revenue recognition and accounting on service contracts.
- Perform financial management duties, including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analysing industry trends, and assessing the financial health of the company.
- Oversee the operations and development of the company's finance departments, including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training, and conducting regular assessments of financial procedure.
- Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to company finances.
- Review and reconcile supplier accounts.
- Constant monitoring and improvement of processes.
- Liaise with Auditors and prepare audit files with deliverables.
- Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company's status and financial forecasts; Prepare quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- People management.
- Automate all financial system processes where possible and bring in BI to allow us to make better decisions.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in Services Accounting preferred and exposure to project-type work.
- Experience in a Managed Service environment would be advantageous.
- This is a complex and demanding environment, requiring considerable initiative, creativity, and good judgment.
- 5+ years' experience in the areas of commercial and commercial management of outsourcing and shared services operations.
- Experience of and understanding of business process outsourcing and shared services industry in general and Finance and Accounting Outsourcing in particular.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, MS Outlook) Excel is advantageous.
- Financial Control Management and Experience and Stakeholder Relationship Management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority and problem-solving skills.
- Used to working in a business culture that promotes adherence to procedures and controls.
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met.
