In this expanding team the ideal candidate will need to be a driven and enthusiastic accounting expert joining the finance team as a Finance Manager. Responsible for overseeing cash reconciliations and mappings across the organization. Duties will include reviewing cash entries and ensuring the accuracy of AR/AP balances, conducting movement analyses, and working closely with accountants to streamline the month-end close processes. Additionally, the Finance Manager will play a key role in enhancing data integrity and report accuracy, as well as supporting external audit closings and forecasting. A successful candidate for this position will be a strong leader with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail. This position involves collaborating with the Treasury team on cross-functional tasks and reporting to the Financial Controller.
Key qualifications of a Finance Manager:
- CA(SA) with 5 years minimum PQE
- BCom finance degree with CIMA certification advantageous
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Office Suite
- Xero Software experience advantageous
Key duties of the Finance Manager include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the group's cash balances including e-wallets
- Ensure balances on mobile money platforms to ensure accuracy across the group
- Review and approve monthly cash reconciliations and related AR/AP balances
- Develop and implement month-end close process for cash and cash equivalents across all group entities
- Assist with managing and settling intercompany balances and cash-related foreign exchange movements
- Onboard new bank accounts on finance systems
- Assist with cash flow forecasting
- Provide reporting and analysis on Treasury-related balances
- Support external audits and other ad-hoc projects
