We are recruiting for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Manager to join a technology organisation specialising in the mining sphere to join their cross functional team that will be based in Midrand, Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating company funds, overseeing budget planning, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team, whilst enabling informed and optimal business decisions to be made. Minimum Requirements:
- Essential: BCom / Honours degree in Accounting / Management Accounting Degree.
- Registered as a CA(SA) with 1 year experience in private sector OR
- Registered as an AGA(SA) or CIMA with 3 years experience in the private sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with cloud-based ERP system: Xero and Unleashed.
- Compilation of monthly management accounts.
- Creation and analysis of budgets, including variance assessments.
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheets.
- Monthly review of Profit and Loss Statements.
- Oversight of inventory submodule reconciliation and related business process reporting.
- Collaborative margin analysis with Operations Manager for devices and deployment.
- Efficient management of Debtors and Creditors.
- Preparation and submission of payment files via banking platforms, along with communication to Operations Manager regarding planned supplier payments.
- Development and implementation of Forex Hedging strategies.
- Management, planning, and verification of BEE Scorecard improvements.
- Preparation of payroll files.
- Further development and implementation of commission structures.
- Preparation, reconciliation, and submission of VAT and Income Tax returns to relevant Revenue Services.
- Creation of accurate cash flow forecasts.
- Monitoring and meeting compliance deadlines throughout the year.
- Establishment of internal control frameworks within the finance department.
- Proactive initiatives to enhance existing automation and streamline recording and reporting processes.
- Preparation of annual financial statements for submission to SARS.
- Facilitation of the annual audit process in different jurisdictions.
- Review of Annual Financial Statements.
- Identification and implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
- Identification, communication, and mitigation of risks associated with responsibilities.
- Provision of commercial and operational support wherever applicable and beneficial.
