Financial Manager

Job Description
  • Supervision for invoicing, debt collection and capturing of creditors
  • Keeping Xero accounting system up to date
  • Managing budget and updating the budget regularly
  • Checking commission claims
  • Managing and ensuring that directors personal tax returns and all company tax returns are up to date
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Forex payments
  • Loading and paying creditors on time
  • Keeping accurate records of debtors
  • Keeping the float cash flow system up to date
  • Managing cash flow effectively
  • Preparing information for audits
  • Managing audits
  • Ensuring the AFS are audited or reviewed promptly
  • Accurate accounting for transactions
  • Meticulous management of inter-company and directors loan accounts
  • Relationship management with banks
  • Ability to apply for facilities
  • Facilities management
  • Managing rental properties (only 3)
  • Reviewing and checking all documents for payments and ensuring that payments are for correct amounts
  • Reviewing insurance annually
  • Keeping asset register up to date and updating insurance
  • Keep all secretarial information up to date
  • Getting BEE Certificates and any other statutory documents before they expire
  • Managing credit cards and fleet cards
  • Managing cell phone contracts and other recurring expenses
  • Gaining and applying insights into the business and improving processes wherever possible
  • Taking care of any other financial tasks required
  • Calculate salaries and make salary payments on time
  • Administer payroll
  • Keep all statutory payments up to date and all administration up to date e.g. PAYE, IRP 5S, Provisional Tax Payments, SDL and UIF
  • Apply to financial institutions for facilities and loans where required
  • And any other financial task that may be delegated
