As the Business Intelligence & Finance Systems Specialist, you will lead and transform finance functions into strategic business partners. This critical role involves leveraging data analytics, business intelligence tools, and finance systems to enhance decision-making and drive operational efficiency.
This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining BI solutions and finance systems that streamline financial processes and support the organizations strategic objectives. Additionally, this role will lead finance transformation initiatives to optimize processes, reduce manual tasks, and focus on value-added activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Intelligence & Data Analysis:
- Provide business intelligence, data analysis, and systems support to the Finance & Business team.
- Support strategic and operational transformation through reporting and analytics.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives to increase operational efficiency.
- Identify and eliminate manual processes, driving automation and system integration.
- Monitor the impact of transformation efforts on financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Design and maintain BI solutions and financial models for forecasting, planning, and monitoring.
- Ensure integration and optimization of BI tools with current systems.
- Manage system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with various business teams to deliver insights supporting strategic initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring system solutions meet business needs.
- Build and maintain a conducive team environment, supporting the growth and development of staff through coaching and mentoring.
- Ensure compliance with local employment regulations and scorecard standards.
- Bachelors degree in Finance & IT, with CPA/ACA qualification preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in finance and accounts within the banking or financial services industry.
- Extensive experience in business intelligence, data projects, and financial transformation initiatives.
- Practical experience with tools like Power BI, SQL, MS Excel, Python, and other data science tools.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint is desirable.
- Advanced knowledge in Business Partnering, Data Analysis, and Financial Ratios.
- Proficiency in project management, time management, and organizational awareness.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with a focus on performance and financial awareness.
