Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1-3 Years experience in similar role.
- Good understanding of financial and accounting regulations.
- Understanding of private healthcare industry accounting practices.
- Maintenance of financial security by following internal controls.
- Accurate preparation of journal entries and ledger account reconciliations.
- Review of accounting transactions for accurate and proper classifications.
- Prepares reconciliations of general ledger accounts and ensures timeous resolution of outstanding issues.
- Maintains files (electronically and otherwise) for audit and file and information management purposes.
- Prepare an analysis of relevant accounts to ensure all relevant expenses are recorded.
- Compile data as required in order to prepare for monthly reports.
- Enter, update or retrieve accounting data from automated systems (SAP) and other approved platforms.
- Responds to accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Provide assistance to the Finance Manager and other senior managers, where applicable.
- Assist with the analysis or projects as requested by the line manager and prepares reports outlining findings for the Finance Managers review and sign-off.
- Ensure compliance to relevant policies and procedures with regards to asset removing.
- Maintain the asset register.
- Take accountability for asset replacement, verification and assessment process.
