The opportunity
Financial Accountant will assist Senior Manager Financial Controller and Accounting team with all Financial Duties.
How Youll Spend Your Day
- Ensure all filing of documentation is done timeously weekly and monthly.
- Capture, balance and reconcile all cashbooks. (All entities)
- Capture, balance and reconcile local creditors. (All entities)
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Prepare Intercompany journals
- Load weekly payments
- Ensure all accounting transactions are correctly recorded.
- Meet deadlines as per month end deadline list provided
- Have thorough knowledge and understanding of work performed, processed and submitted.
- Ensure all information required to complete month end is received and processed on time.
- Ensure month end is completed and submitted on time.
- Maintain Accruals, Prepaid Expense, Sundry customer and deposit accounts- all entities
- Perform adhoc duties as required by Snr Financial Controller and Financial Accountant.
- Bcom accounting degree or SAIPA registration
- 3-4 years experience (may include accounting articles)
- Knowledge regarding Sage 300 will be advantageous.
- Able to plan, prioritize and adapt in order to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
