The successful applicant will report to the Financial Manager or nominee.
Description
- Budget and cost control.
- Oversee debtors and creditors performance. Provide advice regarding measures and trends. Ensure efficient execution of bank and related transactions; cash flow management and forecasts; internal and external loan accounts. New IFRS implementation, tax pack and year-end financial packs. Ensure sales contracts commercial terms are adhered to.
- Prepare annual and semi-annual financial statements. Prepare "reporting packs" for half year and full year reporting, including the collation of year end files for internal and audit purposes.
- Monitor integrated accounting system (JDE) to ensure effective functioning. Report any deviances on noncompliance on the system to the respective stakeholder(s).
- Ensure statutory compliance.
- Provide advice regarding measures and financial trends encountered. Ensure the efficient execution of: audits; bank and related transactions; cash flow management and forecasts; risk management and insurance; capital management debtor and creditor management. Responsible for new IFRS implementation, tax pack and ad hoc financial projects, ledging and forex related transactions.
- Ensure effective analysis, interpretation and reporting of financial processes according to accounting principles. Responsible for statutory reporting; month-end, interim and year-end financial reporting and closure.
- Manage annual company income tax, returns and oversee tax compliance. Keep abreast with tax policy changes and liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure general tax policies and regulations are executed within designated area.
- Review General Ledger reconciliations monthly. Ensure reconciled items are cleared. Review and sign-off monthly changes on audit trails of master data changes. Month end reconciliation review of cash. Assist in the preparation of weekly cash flow forecast. Compile weekly/ monthly cash flow and monthly cash calls. Ensure all legal documents to assist in export sales are in place and adhered to. Review of debtors reconciliations.
- Bachelor of Commerce degree: Financial Accounting.
- Code 08 (B) Driver's Licence.
- Advantageous: CA (SA) / ACMA.
- 6 8 year's extensive practical financial accounting experience in a production / mining environment.
- 3 years financial accounting experience in the capacity of a manager in a production / mining environment.
