Financial Accountant responsibilities include budgeting, managing payments and performing internal audits. The incumbent will act as a consultant for senior managers, conducting cost and revenues analyses. Ultimately, the incumbent will ensure all our accounting transactions comply with the law and support our companys investments.
The Primary Functions Of The Financial Accountant Include
- Calculation of Income and Deferred Tax
- Assist with Revenue Reporting
- Assist with managing external audits
- Assist the FM during the preparation of budgets and Forecasts
- Review payment files
- Analyse financial trends in dashboard Trial balance
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
- Oversee and manage leases
- Identify and implement additional financial controls needed for IFRS for SMES/Full IFRS
- Fixed Asset Management (Fixed assets master update, manage depreciation and wear and tear schedules, managed asset verifications)
- Other adhoc tasks required from Financial Manager
- Preparing of Journal Entries and reviewing cashbooks.
- Deal with escalated customer queries
- Work alongside the Financial Manager to enable the team to achieve its monthly accurate accounting and reporting objectives
- To assist in the preparation and finalisation of the year end audit
- Compilation of financial statements at individual and consolidated level
- Assist with Due Diligence Reporting
- Office-based
- Extended and irregular work hours where applicable to meet deliverables.
BCom Accounting with articles completed
- Minimum 2 years post articles experience
- Broad knowledge of accounting practices (IFRS) etc
- Experience in Telecommunications Industry is advantageous
