Financial Management:
- Manage all financial aspects of the property portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to property acquisitions, disposals, and leases.
- Monitor and manage cash flows, ensuring sufficient liquidity for property operations.
- Conduct regular financial reconciliations and audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making purposes.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the property portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Generate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Present financial reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key findings and trends.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Utilize and maintain the MDA Property Management System to manage financial operations efficiently.
- Ensure accurate data entry and management within the system, including property valuations, rental income, expenses, and tenant records.
- Provide training and support to team members on the effective use of the MDA system.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements or improvements and collaborate with IT teams to implement necessary changes.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, property laws, and other financial obligations.
- Prepare and submit statutory financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with legal teams to review and execute property-related contracts and agreements.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with property managers, leasing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
- Provide financial guidance and support to stakeholders, answering queries and addressing concerns.
- Participate in meetings and presentations to discuss financial performance, projections, and strategies.
- Complete and Submit VAT on e-filing
- Complete and Submit IT 14
- Calculate Provisional Tax
- Deal with SARS queries
Minimum of 3 years of post-articles experience in a financial accounting role within the property industry.
MDA Experience Essential
IFRS reporting essential
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
