Financial Accountant at CA Financial Appointments

Seeking a Financial Accountant to embark on a 3-month contract. The successful individual will have adept problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, coupled with a resolute "can-do" attitude. You will have leadership potential and the ability to inspire accountability within a collaborative team setting. Your commitment to meeting deadlines and demonstrating your skills and knowledge in all accounting policies and operational functions will be required for this role. Responsibilities

Ensure tasks are completed in accordance with accounting standards
Prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliations
Adhere to agreed deadlines
Assist Financial Manager as needed
Support auditors with year-end audits
Remain up to date with latest Income Tax Act changes
Supervise integrity of the payroll system, including capturing of payroll, payment of employees and maintaining employee permanent files
Completion and submission of statutory returns, VAT201's, EMP201's, EMP501's, COIDA etc.
Maintain fixed asset register

Requirements

CIMA qualification
BCom Honors degree in financial accounting
Minimum 2-3 years proven experience in a financial accounting/audit role
Manufacturing experience advantageous
Strong computer literacy and experience working on financial systems (Syspro, Sage)
