SALARIED FINANCIAL ADVISOR: MEDICAL AIDS

The Following

Formal Education:
  • Matric
  • RE5
  • Bachelor of Commerce or related degree will be advantageous
  • Annual CPD points up to date
  • CMS accreditation
Experience
  • Minimum 10 years relevant advice/consultation experience in the health insurance industry for both Individual and group business.
  • Experience in dealing with Financial Service advisors and product providers
  • Proven track record of team management.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans.
Will Enable You To Do

Sales
  • Provide inputs for annual sales target as and when required
  • Grow and maintain relationships to promote leads from advisors, to ensure sales targets are reached
  • Participate in monthly meetings with GM to assess progress
  • Assist the GM with contingency planning in the event of shortfalls
  • Identify opportunities and discuss with GM
  • Present industry and client specific solutions to groups on split risk: Health Insurance, Primary Health Care, Medical schemes and EAPs
Clients
  • Consult with prospective clients to assess needs and collect the required information to make the most suitable and cost-effective healthcare product recommendation
  • Consult with existing clients annually to review previous recommendations and ensure the clients needs are still appropriately covered. Recommend and implement changes on policies/memberships where required
  • Ensure that medical aid quotations, product comparisons and other information provided are correctly compiled, include all quotations and advice provided is correct Provide accurate quotations and advice on medical schemes, Gap cover and Health insurance
  • Retain existing clients
  • Maintain existing and build new relationships with Efficient Wealth financial advisors to provide healthcare services to their clients.
  • Assist with and participate in client education activities and campaigns
People
  • Manage the day-to-day workflow of the support team to ensure turnaround times are achievable
  • Communicate capacity constraints to GM
  • Provide guidance and assistance with escalated requests
  • Establish clear performance expectations
  • Identify and report training gaps to GM
  • Implement the divisions personnel development plan
  • Supervise junior health advisors
Systems and Processes
  • Apply, monitor and assist for reporting
