The role of the Financial Analyst (FA) is to analyze and report the financial progress according to expectations and targets for the assigned unit, and based on facts provide relevant business insights and financial advice to the stakeholders with a forward-looking view to facilitate decision making and to support value creation. The FA is the main orchestrator of the financial forecast and financial performance activities and analysis, in accordance with global directives, processes and tools.

As a Financial Analyst at Ericsson, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial planning, analysis, and controlling processes by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, analyze, and maintain financial models for forecasting, and long-term planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong data analytical skill, analyst mentality, and a passion for automating financial reports for a wide range of stakeholders. The purpose of which is to deliver data supported insights and analysis which can identify trends, patterns, and opportunities, helping to drive efficiency and ultimately to win business.

What You Will Do
  • Orchestrate and execute consolidated recurrent financial routines and ad-hoc requirements.
  • Drive and perform period-end closing, forecasting, business case and scenario analysis.
  • Support target setting and financial plan activities.
  • Participate/drive complex initiatives, projects, and measurements.
  • Drive automation and efficient ways of working to enhance planning and analysis capabilities.
  • Support internal and external audits/
  • Financial Planning and Analysis with regular assessment and improvement of forecasting methodologies to enhance accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide insightful variance analysis to highlight key business drivers and recommend strategic actions to achieve financial objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variances.
Accountability:
  • Accountable for decisions and execution of team deliverables
  • Act as financial advisor, support decision making by providing prescriptive analysis on a timely manner and proactively communicate meaningful insights with stakeholders.
  • Compliance adherence: Act with integrity and make use of the Finance Mandate when identifying red flags or to prevent compliance breaches. This entails compliance adherence to policies and accounting directives by always speaking up and highlighting any concern or deviation against relevant directives and instructions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) requirements or Code of Business Ethics (CoBE).
You will bring
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related commercial field. Finance degree is a plus.
  • Shown experience in the financial planning and analysis (FPA role), with a strong understanding of forecasting and financial planning models; analysis; and visualization techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Effective communication and storytelling skills with the ability to present complex financial data findings to non-finance stakeholders.
