Responsibilities:
Primary
Broker Finance (division) A mezzanine credit fund that provides growth capital to various short term insurance intermediaries and
independent financial advisors.
- Responsible for developing the strategy and driving growth within this business unit.
- Responsible for building relationships in the short term broking and independent financial advisor space.
- Responsible for executing debt transactions and driving the entire process (negotiation, execution, credit motivation and
- Responsible for managing the operations team within this business unit and ensuring all administration is performed

- Responsible for overall expansion of the business within its current markets (South Africa & Namibia) and its general
Continuity Solutions (division) A Sell side advisory offering bespoke to short term insurance intermediaries and independent
financial advisors.
- Responsible for developing the strategy (distribution, pricing, product offering) and driving growth within this business
- Responsible for building relationships in the short term broking and independent financial advisor space.
- Responsible for negotiating, executing and running the corporate finance process associated with this offering.
- Responsible for the corporate finance and quantitative analysis on transactions.
- Responsible for overall expansion of the business within its current markets (South Africa) and its general expansion into
- Responsible for managing and driving the alignment of Continuity Solutions and Broker Finance into one focused business
Specialised Credit Solutions (subsidiary)
- Responsible for developing the strategy (distribution, pricing, product offering) and driving growth within this business
- Responsible for working with the team on driving distribution of this product into the market.
- Responsible for working with the operations team on managing existing clients and any ad-hoc requests that are
Secondary
Responsible for building relationships within the general insurance industry (particularly in short term broking and independent
financial advisor sectors) and building the brand amongst the local market.
Assistance on certain expansion projects and running both the due diligence and viability analysis on these projects.
Requirements
- Based in JHB or CPT
- Person needs to be able to intermittently travel regionally to visit key clients and execute on certain transactions
- Although company operates a very flexible work policy, Employee is required to be in the office 3 days per week
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a banking, insurance or corporate finance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills particularly in areas of negotiation
- Ability to cope with urgent and sudden changes in workload
- Self-motivated, energetic and proactive
- Strong ability to work independently
- Relationships with insurance intermediaries or independent financial advisors
- Corporate finance experience
- Corporate lending experience
- CA/SA, BCom degree (or similar accounting degree)
