Job Purpose
The Intern Finance Assistant supports the finance and business teams by providing administrative support while following our internal intern graduate programme. The programme is designed to integrate your theorical knowledge with on-the-job application and experience, providing valued workplace experience to begin your finance career.
Job Requirements
Your main areas of responsibility will include the following:
- Prepare general ledger and assist with month-end close preparation and reporting
- Support quarterly balance sheet reconciliation performance
- Prepare trial balances and analyze key accounts to identify unusual transactions
- Raise and assist with POs in relation to Fixed Costs
- Process Fixed Cost journal entries
- Process Month End Journal entries
- Analyze fixed cost by division and Cost Centre vs Plan and Latest forecast
- Review margin analysis for pricing for review
- Assist FP&A Managers with forecast loads for review
- Support internal control measures
- Assist with local audit matters
- Provide ad hoc administration support to finance and business teams
- Partner and liaise with key stakeholders
- Degree/Btech in Financial Accounting
- Part time work experience (an advantage)
- MS Excel required
- Financial acumen with strong numeracy skills
- Good planning and organizational skills, including prioritization and time management.
- Dead line driven
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Able to solve problems logically.
- Good interpersonal and relationship building skills, with diverse stakeholders.
- Good self-management, resilience and learning agility
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced Excel
- Able and willing to learn
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
- Good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently
