Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and drive financial strategy within our organization. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to contribute to the company's overall success.

Key Responsibilities
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and comprehensive financial plans.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and variance analyses to assess financial performance, identify trends, and evaluate business metrics.
- Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, liaise with auditors, and address audit findings and recommendations in a timely manner.
- Manage cash flow projections and working capital requirements to support daily operations.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and insights to senior management and key stakeholders to support decision-making, business planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements, including VAT, corporate income tax, and payroll taxes.
- Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, regulatory authorities, and business partners.
- Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management to support business objectives and drive continuous improvement.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (CA/CIMA/ACCA/SAIPA)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and financial reporting processes.
- Experience working in multinational corporations or large-scale organizations preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building high-performing teams and driving results in a dynamic business environment.

Physical Requirements
This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
