What will you do?
This position reports to and supports the Retail Affluent Senior Finance Manager responsible for Operations. The role is responsible for managing of and reporting on the business financial targets, ensuring ongoing operations are financially sound, gather information for reporting purposes and operates within the RA governance framework.
What will make you successful in this role?
- Supporting the Snr Finance Manager: Operations and business financial reporting functions with relevant reporting responsibilities, including data.
- Operational expense management and reporting of business cost centers.
- Support with budgeting (5-year budget) and forecasting.
- Expense management for various businesses, including Actuarial, BI, Governance and Regulatory
- Review to optimize, implement changes and maintain cost allocation models for mentioned departments.
- Charge-out checks outgoing and incoming for mentioned departments, including CX.
- Supplying all cost MI (including IT) requests that relates to mentioned departments.
- Authorise implementation and administration of payments for the divisions the role will support.
- Monthly reconciliation reporting to Management.
- Responsible for month-end processes and gather information for reporting (including MIS / data analysis).
- Accounting assistance to Management.
- Liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analysing and report on budget variances.
- Pro-active detection, management and reporting of risks
- FSC and Skills Development reporting and target tracking
- Ensuring adherence to approval frameworks
- Grade 12
- B Com Accounting
- A CA qualification would be beneficial, but not a requirement
- 5 years relevant finance / insurance industry experience
- Financial Reporting & Cost management
- SAP S4/HANA experience preferable
- IFRS 17 Reporting knowledge
