Job Purpose
The Finance Stock Officer is responsible for performing all inventory control related activities including executing inventory control measures to ensure stock integrity and accuracy in relation to what is reflected on the ERP system.
Responsibilities
- Ensure stock integrity and accuracy through identifying discrepancies between floor stock and ERP system and provide feedback to FSC accordingly.
- Develop the companys inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalising inventory and maximizing available working capital.
- Ensure a review is performed on the accuracy of the stock receipted for purchase orders inbound against the available PO Document
- Ensure a review is performed on the accuracy of the stock receipted for transfer orders inbound against the available TO Document
- Ensure a review is performed on the accuracy of the stock picked for sales orders against the available PSI Tax Invoice.
- Ensure accurate cycle count done using the scanner as per the monthly and / or daily schedule and plan prepared by the Finance Stock Controller.
- Ensure accurate stock count is done using the scanner as per the Ad hoc count identified by the Finance Stock Controller.
- Daily driver debriefing takes place to ensure that all PODs, pre-approved sales return orders (SRO) and Goods Received Note (GRN) slips are received.
- Provide feedback and update Credit Note and POD department on daily inaccuracies, findings, non-compliance matters and variances identified.
- Ensure month end procedures are completed and credit cage is cleared before inventory period is closed off
- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain, warehousing, logistics, stock control etc
- Experience performing internal audit reviews
