Marlowe Fire & Security Group have recently been going through an unrivaled period of growth and there are no signs of stopping. Due to the acquisition of a number of large, prestigious contracts recently, our Mechanical Department is expanding which means we are on the lookout for a number of fantastic Fire Extinguisher Technicians.
The core focus of this role is to carry out the servicing and maintenance of Portable fire extinguishers, Hose reels and Kitchen fire suppression systems. All equipment will be provided to allow high standards of service, install and maintenance of Portable fire extinguishers, Hose reels and Kitchen fire suppression systems for our National and Local Accounts.
Duties Will Include But Are Not Limited To
We are seeking self-motivated, enthusiastic and customer focused technicians to join our team.
- Installing, servicing and maintaining Portable fire extinguishers, Hose reels and Kitchen fire suppression systems for National, Key and Local accounts.
- Working in line with current standards and customer requirements.
- To plan and complete call visits within the nominated area, ensuring maximum efficiency and best use of resources.
- To build professional and effective relationships with a wide client base.
- Be accountable for ensuring effective area planning to maximise travel time and time on customer premises.
- Carry out scheduled & reactive maintenance in a timely, efficient & cost effective manner.
- Effectively communicate with our customers to ensure a good understanding of system/equipment status.
- Liaise with Service Administrators to ensure the needs of our customers are met.
- Be responsible for the management & security of vehicle stock, tools & equipment.
- Approach all training positively & complete all duties in a professional manner.
- Travel and some stop over is expected during the training period and busier months.
The applicant should have experience in fire extinguisher servicing, hold a qualification to prove competence and have good knowledge BS5306 parts 3 and 8.
Our Ideal Candidate Has
- Technical background in the Mechanical Fire industry.
- Experience of front-line customer service.
- Previous experience of maintaining fire extinguishers is essential.
- Qualified to BAFE / FETA or equivalent.
- Ability to work unsupervised with the capability to problem solve.
- Full driving licence.
- Flexibility to travel for work and training when required
- Experience in other Mechanical Fire Systems would be advantageous.
