Globe 24-7 in partnership with an international mining contractor are working together to source experienced and qualified talent for their mineral extraction operations.
The Role
The incumbent will play a key role in the successful execution of the clients projects. They will be responsible for operating and maintaining flow sort equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient sorting of minerals and ores.
The Responsibilities
- Fault finding PLC based control systems using circuit diagrams and software.
- Programme and fault find on VSD drives.
- Maintain an industrial IP based control network.
- Perform pneumatic fault finding and maintenance.
- Perform continuous inspections to maximise flow sort efficiency.
- Capture work orders in the system (FIIXS)
- Inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul electromechanical and solid-state electrical equipment
- High school diploma or equipvalent, a technical degree or certification in mineral processing or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Flow Sort Technician in the mining industry, preferably in an EPCM environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in using computerised systems and software for data analysis and equipment control.
