Qualifications/Experience
- South African citizens/residents are preferred.
- BSc Engineering (or equivalent) with more than 5 years experience in a technical environment.
- Further education in the field of Quality Management is an advantage.
- Several years in engineering and quality processes preferably in the automotive industry, particularly in the field of supplier management and process Improvement.

- Responsible and accountable for planning and managing all measures for preventative quality assurance to ensure that the parts in his/her parts spectrum are ready for series production and their quality meets GROUP specifications.
- Establish quality targets for start-up and series production and ensures these targets are continually measured and achieved.
- Ensure a technical knowledge of the problems being experienced, so that correct decisions can be made in terms of their containment, corrective actions, and ways to prevent a re-occurrence.
- Facilitate containment and pro-actively reduce Series supplier quality related topics.
- In the event of non-conforming material being identified in the plant, initiate, and manage the defect eradication process and ensure that the necessary actions take place timely.
- Responsible and accountable to ensure total internal customer satisfaction regarding the quality of the parts within the relevant GROUP manufacturing areas.
- Initiate and support the escalation process, when and where appropriate.
- Drive continuous improvement within all the departmental quality gates.
- Responsible to ensure the optimum performance from subordinates in the achievement of their tasks and targets.
