FVA Vehicle Logistics Analyst

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the LLP responsible for finished goods inventory and yard management by using GVDS
  • Ensure the LLP is managing the yards based on Ford Global Standards and is adhering to global standards VOCPG-225
  • Provide daily reports detailing vehicles which are on hold status and impacting vehicle delivery
  • Provide data for the compilation of the stop ships, quality holds and stop frames report
  • Provide the daily weekly and Monthly data required to complete the vehicle logistics performance metrics
  • Provide daily data pertaining to yard capacity and tip level including during launch till OKTB
  • Ensure all vehicle damage reporting is processed within the standard timing and the claims process is followed
  • Determine root cause for issues associated with non-performance which impact on time vehicle delivery
  • Supervise the vehicle storage programs both on-site and off-site
  • Input and maintain all base data for VMACS/GVDS
  • Provide ideas for continuous process improvement to support TVM actions
  • Ensure the daily, weekly and monthly planning is performed to ensure domestic vehicle distribution within South Africa
  • Ensure the LLP receives a weekly and daily load plan to facilitate on-time vehicle delivery to dealers
  • Report out on aged vehicles greater than 15 days
  • Work within GVDS to ensure that vehicles are delivered on time to dealers
  • Input and ensure that all base data for VMACS/GVDS are correctly maintained
  • Imports
  • Ensure that all vehicles are evacuated from the port within 5 days and report violations
  • Ensure Microdot holds are active in GVDS whe imports are evacuated from Port and Holds are released once the microdotting is completed.
  • Plan rail and road evacuation from port by vessel for Imports
  • Plan vehicle Domestic from plantcompounddealer
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly plans for the use of sea, road and rail
  • Follow up on vessel plans for ocean logistics service providers
  • Support Export Adhoc requirements
  • Track VMC vehicles in the modification centre to ensure delivery timing is not impacted
  • Draw up SOW for new and current service providers
  • Support MCRP process for local and IMG modules
  • Conduct weekly yard walk audits
  • Track and Maintain KPI decks for distribution and yard management
Qualifications
  • BCom Degree in Logistic/Supply Chain, Transport Management or Business Management
  • 3-5 years MP&L experience preferably in transport and vehicle logistics
