Main purpose of the job:
The Gaming Revenue Accountant for SunBet will be responsible to consolidate and manage the gaming revenue accounts processes, revenue risk management and accounts control standards for SunBet, in line with relevant regulations and time frames.
Education and experience:
3-Year National Diploma or Degree in Finance / Accounting
At least 8 years' experience in a revenue accounting position, including 5 years' experience in a hospitality/gaming environment.
Supervisory or people management experience is an advantage

Key Performance Areas
Manage the accounts processes around the consolidation and recording of revenue results for SunBet to ensure the revenue is accurate, up-to-date and complete
Run, account for and reconcile revenue from all relevant management systems e.g. Bede, Bitville, etc on a daily basis
Perform daily revenue checks to identify anomalies in the automated revenue reports.
Perform reasonable fraud and abuse checks to identify trends in deposits, withdrawals and from a bonussing perspective
Establish and maintain procedures to identify risks and fraud in retail space
Perform daily review of credit card settlements to the payment processing system (Callpay)
Perform post automation checks on systems to detect any system anomalies
Conduct monthly management of revenue related GL accounts to ensure all relevant accounts have been reconciled and outstanding items are valid
Investigate and resolve unusual variances relative to budget, previous year and expected business performance.
Perform regular checks of bonusses issued to ensure they are issued in accordance with policies and/or promotions mechanics.
Conduct daily audits on manual system interventions (e.g. Manual adjustments audit).
Interpret SunBet results and provide value-adding recommendations to optimise financial performance (with regards product, process and practices).
Compile and provide reports in line with Gaming Board and management requirements that assists stakeholders in making relevant decisions.
Proactively work with internal stakeholders (Operations, Marketing, internal and external auditors) to identify risk areas and address these
Research, develop, and maintain risk mitigating standard operating procedures for SunBet revenue process, based on leading practice
Develop and conducts internal audits to reduce risks in revenue processes, and ensure risk remediation action plans have been recommended, communicated, and controlled
Provides feedback and reports back to management on innovations; risks, project plans and challenges
Be part of a culture of quality standards, ethics and governance.
Assist with revenue checks and balances for Africa operations.
Assist in reconciliation of Bettor funds (player liability).
Assist in providing information and documentation during audits, both internal and external.
Develop and maintain sound working relationships with relevant departments
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
