SPO Fulfillment and Productivity Leader

Job Description Summary

As a key member of the Global Service Parts Operations (GSPO) organization, the MENEA-SSA SPO Fulfillment and Productivity Leader will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient fulfillment of spare parts demand in the Middle East, Northeast Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa region. The primary focus of this position is to optimize the supply chain and enhance service levels, while also driving cost productivity and inventory optimization initiatives.Responsibilities include leading strategic and tactical projects aimed at reducing cycle time and improving on-time delivery (OTD) metrics, as well as implementing local inventory optimization strategies, digitizing last mile operations, and optimizing network design within the region. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead the logistics and fulfillment of spare parts to our distributors in indirect markets.In collaboration with the central GSPO and Service teams, the MENEA-SSA SPO Fulfillment and Productivity Leader will drive Cost Productivity programs to achieve operational efficiencies. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.This role shall report to MENEA-SSA Service Parts Operations Manager.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities
  • Fulfillment Management: Oversee the fulfillment of spare parts orders within the region for direct and indirect channels. Work with CS team and Logistics Leaders on backorders escalations and resolution.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Drive supply chain optimization projects (e.g., transport, warehousing, customs, etc) across the region to enhance service levels, reduce cycle time, and improve on-time delivery metrics.
  • Inventory Optimization: Implement local inventory optimization strategies to balance inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Last Mile Digitization: Digitize last mile operations to streamline processes, increase visibility, and enhance the efficiency of delivery operations.
  • Network Design Optimization: Optimize the network design within the region to improve logistics efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Cost Productivity Programs: Collaborate closely with the GSPO COEs, Zone Logistics Leaders, and Service teams to drive cost productivity initiatives, identifying and implementing opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Service Operations, Customs Operations, Regulatory Affairs), to ensure alignment in achieving supply chain and service level objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data, and prepare regular reports to track progress, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, International Business, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • 5-6 years of experience working in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Warehousing.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and Project Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Power Point, and Word.
  • Language: Strong command of spoken and written English is a must.
Desired Characteristics
  • Proven business and financial acumen, including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, motivate, influence, solve complex problems, and drive change at all levels of organization.
  • Demonstrated work experience in Logistics operations, Supply chain Management and/or Physical Distribution.
  • Able to strategize and influence senior management, while being able to engage, lead and coach working level staff to achieve the deliverables.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute multiple objectives and metrics.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Lean. Lean or Lean Six Sigma qualification is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of ERP, WMS and Transport Management Systems.
  • Experience with SQL & Data Analytics is a plus.
