To lead and manage the profitability and growth of the Food Division for a geographic region. Responsible for service delivery and growth across all clients through the management of Sales and Operations and the acquisition of new business, growth and retention of current contracts related to Food services. This role reports to the Managing Director: Food.
Education And Experience
- Relevant B Degree (NQF Level 7) Essential
- Post Graduate / Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) Advantageous
- 8 to 10 years management and leadership experience in the services industry, of which 5 years is in a management capacity.
- Good knowledge of labour law and industry specific legislation
- Proven experience in managing Health and Safety processes
- Sound knowledge of project management, risk management and financial management principles
- Good business acumen and contract management
- Drivers License
- Contribute towards the development of the Divisional Strategy for Food in collaboration with the Managing Director.
- Develop the Sales, Retention and Operational Business Plan to execute on the Divisional Strategy to maximise revenue growth opportunities within the portfolio.
- Research and keep abreast of market and industry trends, both locally and globally, to develop the current client base and identify growth opportunities to integrate into the portfolio.
- Manage portfolio risks through the identification of risks and development of risk mitigation plans for approval by the Managing Director.
- Produce monthly and quarterly reports on the performance of the portfolio and participate in monthly business reviews to provide updates on business operations to the management team.
- Manage and support a diverse team of Regional Managers and Project Managers within the portfolio to ensure all operational requirements are met.
- Drive operational excellence through implementation of business solutions.
- Monitor business performance and associated costs, to increase profitability and sustainability.
- Partner with support functions to ensure Group policies (i.e. HR, HSE, Procurement, Finance, IT) are adhered to in day-to-day operations within the region.
- Manage integrated relationships between Operations and Sales to drive growth.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual budget for the portfolio / geographical region in accordance with financial policy and procedures.
- Participate in the people management activities such as recruitment, disciplinary, reward, talent management, learning and development processes, in accordance with company policy and procedure, and in consultation with the Human Resources.
