ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly motivated graduate with demonstrated Architectural documentation skills. This role is suited to a fastidiously organised person who will collaborate effectively with the Lead Architect, team, trades and consultants to develop, document and coordinate designs. This person has a ‘can-do’ attitude and an ability to drive projects forward and bring stakeholders along on the journey. The role requires great documentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills. A minimum of a Higher Certificate in Architectural Technology with 0-2 year’s post-graduate experience. All of our team have developed broad expertise and knowledge in the technical, crafting and construction of sustainable homes and are motivated by continuing to improve outcomes in process and result. This role would suit a person with a sustainable/ regenerative design focus.The focus of this role is on coordination and production delivery with the confidence to provide architectural resolutions. Working in our company, the graduate architect is responsible for co-designing, administering projects and managing communications, detailing and documentation on multiple projects simultaneously. Effectively managing projects on-site and working with building consultants is key to success.

Undertaking ongoing research to help develop sustainable design expertise
Make an assessment of the site conditions and constraints (ie flood levels and service surveys)
Oversee planning and building permit applications including: Making inquiries about regulatory requirements (ie planning and cultural heritage requirements, bushfire attack level), Confirm the statutory authority requirements, Attend meetings with relevant authorities, Prepare the application - including plans, diagrams, analyses, studies, reports and other information for the submission; Managing RFIs from the council
Accurately document existing conditions of buildings and site in Revit
Manage building code standards, research and oversee compliance
Interest in continuing professional development in: Solar passive design elements, Ventilation passive and Auxilliary, Heating and cooling systems, Water heating technologies, Onsite generation of power, Rainwater harvesting systems, Insulation systems, Window and glazing systems and schedules
