Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist plant in driving capital projects
- Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects
- Coordinating pricing, estimating, scoping strategies for proposed projects and in the development and preparation of technical specifications.
- Taking responsibility for commissioning and running multi- million-rand machinery
- Developing a budget for maintenance & repairs in conjunction with the Operations and Divisional Executives
- Managing budget with regards to maintenance & repairs
- Managing the Pragma maintenance system
- Submissions of weekly project update reports and repairs and maintenance report
- Ensuring maintenance and service of machinery and moulds
- Assist in plant optimization of the processes
- Taking responsibility for commissioning and running multi- million-rand machinery
Education and Experience:
- BSc Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial)
- 2 years engineering working experience would be advantageous i.e., working on projects whilst finishing degree / working on an internship
- Project Management Diploma would be advantageous
- An ability to communicate at all levels
- Be familiar with food safety standards - an advantage
- An ability to negotiate effectively
- A strong ability to think logically and rationally
- Assertive and forthright
- A strong financial and commercial aptitude
