Wilderness is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our ever-growing creative team, forming
part of the wider Marketing Department. Seeing the business has just undergone an exciting brand
refresh (November 2023), we are now looking for an excited and hungry team player that is highly
motivated and committed to creating inspiring work. We are looking for someone that has a genuine interest in bringing our brand stories to life and has the ability to mix craft and creative flair with commercial awareness. In this role you will be tasked with creating engaging and beautifully executed creative content with a keen eye on both print and digital. You have a desire to explore new ways to engage with our audiences and have a deep passion for combining creativity with interest and insights. You thrive on collaboration and will work across our four marketing teams: Creative; Brand & Content, Trade & Partnerships as well as PR & Comms.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and deliver inspiring and engaging creative thinking that emotionally connects with our audience and delivers against our business objectives.
- Leads a project delivery from ideation and conception through to execution.
- Develop marketing campaign concepts through storytelling and design.
- Supporting your team and key stakeholders through collaboration.
- Design across various marketing channels and touchpoints to ensure adherence to brand
- Keen focus to utilise insights and market trends/research to elevate design deliverables.
Experience & Qualification
- Degree level qualification from an Art/Design college/varsity
- 2 - 5 years experience as a graphic designer, designing for both print and digital.
- A deep understanding of the print and production process.
- A passion for digital experience design and digital channels.
- A strong eye for visual composition and attention to details.
- Previous experience to a range of different design tools
- Previous exposure in marketing, designing for various marketing channels, both offline and online.
- Ideal but not mandatory; experience in luxury design and hospitality.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills necessary to present your solutions and to build trust and respect with the team.
- Proven ability to demonstrate brand voice and adherence to guidelines.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Able to work in multiple softwares (Adobe, Figma, Premier Pro, Lightroom etc).
- Conceptual and innovative thinking.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to give and receive constructive criticism and a diplomatic approach to defend design decisions.
- Maturity and groundedness to work with an array of stakeholders.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong eye for detail and passionate about ensuring only the best work leaves the door.
- A passion for current (digital and print) trends coupled with a deep understanding of the full guest/consumer experience.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently when necessary and meet deadlines.
- Confidence in art-direct photoshoots is a bonus.
- A passion for travel, wildlife and a commitment to sustainability and conservation
- A love for luxury design in a modern world.
