Role Overview
We are looking for someone to join our Design & Production team to create bold, intelligent and emotive design across all traditional and modern design mediums. In collaboration with our Senior Design Manager, you will be creating new and interesting expressions of our parent and sub brands, that help evolve our creative and influence future work.
We are a company with a new brand, but a strong heritage. Developing an exciting and expressive visual style thoughtfully, but at pace. We have a talented and driven internal creative department of graphic designers, artworkers, motion designers, project managers, writers, financial media producers and photographers. This team manages the design, development and delivery of multi-channel marketing leading campaigns and supporting content; both in-house and/or with partner agencies.
You will be joining the Design & Production function that sits within our Marketing organization (300+ people).The Design & Production Studio builds brand relevance, trust, and ambition by creating valuable, customer-relevant and consistent content, creative solutions, and channel experiences that attract, engage and retain our audiences, delivering value to them, the market, and the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and the translate concepts into effective visual designs for integrated marketing campaigns across a range of both print and digital tactics, including print and digital advertising, marketing and sales collateral, direct mail, infographics, social posts, tradeshow displays, sales presentations, internal corporate programs, email marketing, content marketing, and more.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, and ability to turn complex information, including dense data into relatable and engaging designs.
- Strong attention to detail with a high emphasis on accuracy and quality.
- Under the direction of the Design Manager, work on several projects at a time and be involved in all phases of creative development.
- Work independently, with limited oversight from a manager.
- Plan and execute selected projects in collaboration with a wider creative team, including project managers, writers, additional graphic designers, and artworkers.
- Build upon/extend/evolve existing campaigns.
- Focus on new business projects and non-standard creative assignments (such as brand development projects or toolkits for a design system).
- Work in partnership with content writers/copywriters to drive and/or contribute to the creation of industry-leading, campaigns that are on brand and aligned with content strategy.
- Contribute and/or lead idea-generating sessions.
- Quickly understand, gain expertise and share knowledge of clients business objectives/propositions, brand, and competitive landscape to inform insightful campaign and design ideas.
- Portfolio that demonstrates exceptional conceptual thinking and creative execution.
- Degree-level qualification in design or related creative field.
- Mid to Heavy weight experience level, 5 years +, agency experience a bonus.
- Experienced in all modern graphic design mediums and their uses: digital, social media and print.
- Able to clearly present and articulate your creative process, thoughts, ideas and a point of view about the work internally and externally.
- Understanding and experience working in B2B marketing and communications.
- Experience in working closely with a brand and associated guidelines, but with a demonstrated ability in stretching or developing high-level creative or established ideas.
- Expert command of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), experience with animation, interactive digital content a bonus.
- Experience of Microsoft Office (particularly PPT) a bonus.
- Experience with project management programs including Workfront a bonus.
- Ability to accept and deliver feedback from all levels, naturally collaborative and open.
- Organized and able to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- Proven experience for navigating complex businesses and content in the design of marketing communications.
- Good nature/sense of humour/positive attitude.
