Struik Christian Media is looking for a creative graphic designer with a minimum of three years’ experience.
Job Description:
- Provide top quality cover designs for books
- Excellent knowledge of book layout and interior design
- Provide print ready or web ready files for projects
- Design of marketing material and company related stationery as required
- Creating e-books for online publishing
- Maintain brand consistency throughout your work (following brand guidelines to portray brands and brand values visually is essential)
- Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research
Technical skills required:
- Two to four years design diploma/degree preferable
- Adobe CC Design Standard suite, with professional level knowledge of InDesign critical, Photoshop and Illustrator necessary
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
- Excellent understanding of the printing process and working with different inks and finishes
- Understanding the different requirements of designing for various printed media and digital media
- Be able to take a project from brief to print, including concept, roll-out and finished art
- Fully computer literate in Mac OS, able to work in Windows

- Be meticulous when it comes to attention to detail
- Must have a strong interest in design trends, standards and tendencies
- Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Must have artistic flair and have an eye for design
- Excellent verbal communication
