Group Reporting Manager

A Global FinTech Business based and headquartered in Cape Town is seeking a highly technical Group Reporting Manager, responsible for all financial reporting & consolidations and preparing the Group for Audit, to join their fast-paced, growing business with core markets across Africa.



This role, which will also cover business transformation (projects & change), is a growth-filled opportunity for a proactive and fully qualified finance professional to join the growing team, with a direct line into the Group Financial Controller.

With responsibilities for monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation reporting, this central role will include working with multiple Finance teams and delivering quality accounting and statutory reports, to both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will deliver world-class IFRS compliance, and oversee Finance policies and procedures.

The opportunity would best suit an individual with experience with international/multi-national firms, who is excited at the prospect of scaling the accounting processes for a global role experiencing extremely rapid growth, including leadership.



Key qualifications:

• Qualified CA (SA) or equivalent qualification (e.g. ACA), ideally Big 4 or another leading audit firm


• A minimum of 6+ years PQE (CA (SA) 2012 - 2017 ideal)


• Experience in multinational and multi-currency organisations


• Experience in listed companies preferred


• Advanced technical ability including IFRS


• Advanced MS Office skills

Key duties:

• Producing best-in-class Group and local statutory audit reports


• Key point of contact for external audit teams


• Building strong controls and ownership of the Group consolidation reporting


• Proven ability to draft accounting policies and ensure ongoing highly technical IFRS compliance


• Design and implement an effective integrated Group reporting tool


• Involvement with various finance improvement projects for FP&A and Group Reporting


• Ensuring effective controls which adhere to internationally accepted standards and regulations

• Passionate about FinTech & Financial Services (although can come from a "Commercial" background)


• Hard-working


• Having a keen eye for detail


• Being able to drive change and transformation whilst managing a tight-knit team


• Develop team management, time management, and organisation skills


• Proactive with a vision to improve and grow in a fast-changing environment


• Ability to work under pressure

Candidates will be expected to be living in Cape Town or be able to relocate to Cape Town to take up the opportunity. The role has massive growth potential and is crucial to the business.
