The Group Treasury Manager is a new role brought about by continued expansion of the Group.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
- Establish a Group Treasury Function for the KCS Group
- Set out a Treasury framework for the Group
- Lead the procurement and deployment of a Treasury Management System
- Bring the KCS Group to a position where material currencies are swept overnight into interest bearing accounts so that the group is maximising the return on its cash reserves
- Advise on management and mitigation of the Groups FX risk
- Manage the production of an accurate rolling quarterly cash flow forecast for the Group to be reported monthly to the board
- Manage the Groups external debt:
- Interest:
- Review quarterly interest statements from debt Agency for accuracy
- Monitor changes in underlying lending funds to determine the correct withholding tax treatment of interest payments
- Manage the groups interest withholding tax position
- Draw downs:
- Be responsible for initial and rolling utilisation requests
- Be a key contributor to material group transactions, e.g. acquisitions get money in the right place at the right time
- Be responsible for interest period selection notices
- Repayments
- Advise on debt repayment strategy
- Have oversight of the Groups banking relationships:
- Rationalise these as appropriate whilst balancing counter-party risk associated with too few relationships
- Act as a focal point for best practice and knowledge sharing with the senior finance team
- Other:
- Supporting Group projects on an as required basis
- Liaising with shareholders and bankers to fulfil know your client and other anti-money laundering requirements
- Other ad-hoc work as directed from time to time
Required knowledge, experience and technical skills:
- Demonstrable success in a similar role
- Understanding and experience of treasury management including FX, liquidity, cashflow and various financial instruments
- Sound understanding of accounting principles
- Strong understanding of financial markets, financial instruments and debt instruments
- Knowledge of banking relationships and covenants
- Ability to work autonomously and be part of the broader team
- Appropriate handling of sensitive information
- Excellent time management and organisational ability
- High level of attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and specialise treasury management systems
- Possessing strong reporting and analytical skills
- Able to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast moving and demanding environment
