We are looking to appoint a seasoned manager to help us take this beautiful guest house to the next level

The ideal candidate:
Exudes professionalism and is well groomed
Has a minimum education level of Grade 12
Is fully computer literate (MS Office etc.)
Has a stable track record within the hospitality industry of which at least 7 years’ experience as a general manager at a Guest House / B&B / Lodge
Has contactable references
Is single with no dependents
Has reliable transport
Has a valid driver’s license
Is fluent (written and verbal) in both English and Afrikaans. Being able to speak Xhosa will be advantageous
The jobs specs:
You must have an excellent understanding of service excellence with a passion for hospitality
You must be proficient in all aspects of front of house, back of house and property management operations
You must have formidable marketing skills as it will be required of you to form new relationships with corporate travel agents in order to gain market share in the accommodation space for corporate travelers
You must have a keen eye for detail, be hands on and practical
You must be able to work unsupervised and independently managing a small compliment of staff
You must be able to multi task with excellent organizational skills (problem solving, decision making, time management etc.)
You must be able to cope well under pressure
You must have a basic knowledge of HR matters and procedures
You must have excellent knowledge of the Nightsbridge property management system
You must have knowledge of managing Online Travel Agents such as Booking.com, Lekkeslaap, Agoda, Expedia etc.
You must have an understanding of financial management, budget and stock control
Duties includes but are not limited to:
Attending to the needs off guests to ensure a superb guest experience
Be responsible for the checking in and checking out of guests as well as receiving payment and invoicing guests
Breakfast menu planning and food quality check. Preparing breakfast unassisted when needed
Check that guest rooms are prepared to conform to international standards of cleanliness
Keep stock inventories and perform quarterly stock takes
Staff supervision and training
The Package:
R15,000 per month
Free accommodation in a one bedroom flat on the property
This is a permanent position with a 3 month probation period
