Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Generalized handyman work i.e. plumbing, tiling, carpentry, replacement of ceiling boards, woodwork
- Ensuring all work orders are signed off by requestor once job is completed.
- Proactive Maintenance - Compile list of required materials and give requests to Facilities Manager as and when needed, to enable successful execution of maintenance.
- Conduct daily building inspections and regular inspections of the facilities and equipment.
- Manage Staff Lockers
- Report repairs and maintenance to be done to Helpdesk.
- Ensure that office storage space and bulk filing room is neat and tidy.
- Technical Services - Assist with setting up and removal of arranged equipment for meeting rooms. i.e. laptops and projectors
- Take monthly electrical readings.
- Conduct weekly generator checks and top up on diesel levels as required.
- Business support - Replace toners on photocopiers and fill up on paper daily.
- Conduct weekly stock take of toners and submit order to helpdesk when necessary.
- Assist with relocation requirements.
- Escort suppliers to specific areas in conjunction with building security
- Measure and manage daily SLA/KPI deliverables by key contractors.
- Health and Safety - Ensure all areas under your control are safe neat and tidy at all times.
- Responsible for Weekly OHS Inspections / A random visit across sites.

Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Completed)
- Valid Driver license
- PC Literate (MS Word, Excel, Email, Internet, Teams)
- Must be able to perform the physical duties related to the role
- At least 3 years experience gained within Facilities Management Service Delivery environment.
- 5 years experience in a general assistant (handyman) or similar role
