Hardware Engineer

The SGD D&D Core group has a requirement for a senior electronic developer or engineer to develop Electronic Warfare (EW) controllers and related equipment.

Your role

• The general responsibility is to design, develop, integrate, industrialize and provide technical support through the life cycle of the products
• This position has an electronics hardware focus, especially with respect to providing technical design skills at an LRU level, working with the LRU Technical Design Authority and the SRU design engineers.
• Create and maintain development documentation according to the hardware development process
• Interface with project management team and provide feedback on progress and schedule

Your profile

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Minimum of 8 Years experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering R&D and product development environment
• Good understanding of the product development process
• Able to articulate requirements
• Generating and compiling of specifications (Specification practices)
• Experience with Verification and Validation
• Able to guide development aspects
• Knowledge of development processes and associated development integration and testing
• Knowledge of configuration and qualification processes

Desired Skills:

• Electronic Warfare design knowledge and experience.
• Controller design knowledge and experience.
• Aircraft interface knowledge.
• Good understanding of system engineering principles and practises
• RTCA DO-254 or RTCA DO-178 or ARP4754

Qualification:

• B.Eng or suitable technical qualification coupled with a solid track record of electronic design
