About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to head up and grow our Alternative Distribution Channel. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of business development and relationship management within the short-term insurance industry.
Deliverables
Include, but will not be limited to
- Identify growth opportunities across various short-term insurance products.
- To develop new markets and generate high quality leads for all product and distribution verticals across MiWay.
- To ensure that the newly created products achieve agreed business case targets.
- The recruitment and management of new sales and support staff when required.
Minimum Experience
- A minimum of 5 years senior managerial experience in Business Development and/or Relationship management, within short-term insurance.
- Business Case formulation
- New business product or business unit deployment.
- Managing a variety of short-term insurance products.
- Experience in strategy formulation and general business management.
- Grade 12/Standard 10/NQF 4
- Tertiary qualification required
- Proven business acumen and experience
- Must be a strategic thinker who can develop and implement innovative solutions.
- Must be analytical and able to comprehend/react to the key statistical drivers/metrics of the business unit
- Must be self-motivated and target driven
- Must have the ability to forge key relationships with key business partners.

Turnaround time
