Our Head of Product Connectivity will play a crucial role in efficiently driving all connectivity applications across our business and partners. This role includes managing and eventually expanding a small team to ensure smooth operations and comprehensive analytics.
Day in the Life of the Head of Connectivity
API Roadmap and Performance Ownership:
- Work with the Chief of Product and Global Partnership Program Manager on the API roadmap.
- Oversee performance of connections, including new builds, upgrades, and rebuilds, identifying and implementing improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (commercial, customer service, engineering, and product) to define and implement connectivity solutions.
- Work with external partners and vendors to establish and maintain robust connections and integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement improvements in XML, hotel PMS, and channel management connections for efficiency and agility.
- Focus on operational scalability to reduce manual workload across the business.
- Provide key insights to support strategic decision-making and reduce integration churn by guiding and supporting external partners.
- Manage and develop direct reports through training, mentorship, and performance management.
- Contribute to the overall success of the business as part of the Leadership Team.
Key skills:
- Proven experience in connectivity management, integration, and API management.
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of APIs, networking protocols, and integration technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
