Job Purpose
The Group Ethics Office is an independent function mandated to manage the implementation of an effective and mature ethical culture across the organisation, including its subsidiaries and foreign offices.
The Head of Governance and Advisory is a leadership role supporting the Group Executive Head: Reputational Risk and Ethics among others:
- in the development and implementation of a mature risk management and reporting process for ethics and human rights;
- to facilitate governance processes within the Group Ethics Office;
- to provide advisory services to employees and business functions on ethics and human rights-related queries; and
- in the implementation of the Group Human Rights in Business Framework and Human Rights Plan.
- Ethics governance: Develop and implement frameworks, policies and procedures to ensure ethical conduct and decision-making across the organisation. Embed a strong ethical culture and ensure compliance with ethical standards and principles;
- Human Rights: Promote and protect human rights within the organisation and in relation to the organisations stakeholders. Develop and implement human rights frameworks, policies and procedures that are aligned to international standards and best practices;
- Research: Conduct research on ethical issues, human rights and governance related topics. Stay up to date with the latest laws and regulations and monitor trends in these areas. Use research findings to inform decision-making and to develop effective strategies.
- Build professional relationships with stakeholders and provide independent advice and guidance to employees and business functions on ethics and human rights-related queries; and
- Identify opportunities and proactively enhance collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that ethics and human rights are managed holistically and effectively at an enterprise-wide level.
- Minimum qualifications: Relevant 3-year degree (Human Resources, Philosophy, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Law, or Commerce).
- Preferred qualifications: Advanced degree or certificates/accreditations in any of the following areas would be beneficial: Philosophy, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Law, or Ethics.
