To lead the strategic development of the SMD home appliances category by developing business plans and initiatives to drive product innovation and competitive advantage in the marketplace for customers and consumers alike.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: -
- Developing a solid and trusting relationship between major key clients and company, as well as managing communications between key clients and internal teams. Fundamental to the role concerns not only developing relationships but resolving any key client issues and complaints.
- Developing a complete understanding of key account needs to further business prospects and opportunities with existing and new clients. This entails strategic planning, and a synthesis of insights gathered by assessing emerging industry, economic and competitive trends to ensure client results.
- To lead new product insights and ideation process, as well as concept development to deliver the new product innovations on prioritized category initiatives.
- Managing account team assigned to each client to plan and execute new, innovative strategic marketing programs in the home appliances category.
- Issue and monitor KPIs and general performance for their team on a regular basis to determine areas in performance requiring improvement, as well as bolster the teams overall success in the appliance category.
- Negotiate contracts with clients with clear objectives and timeframes for performance. Furthermore, managing the needs and expectations of key clients to ensure the effective, efficient, and professional execution of deliverables according to proposed timelines.
- Establish and oversee internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the client.
- Working with design, sales team, creative, advertising, logistics, managers, marketing, merchandising, warehousing, and team members from other departments to ensure the highest quality of materials and products are being produced in accordance with client needs.
- Collaborating with sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling.
- Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training.
- Maintaining all client documentation and cohesive, up-to-date files, to have accurate, relevant, and readily available client focused data at all times.
- To develop sales presentations for key clients that identify consumer benefits, unmet needs, and the opportunities for sustainable value creation of the appliance brands in the key clients businesses with the objective of expanding SMD product range and categories therein.
- To oversee the development of category strategies, and in conjunction with other functions, deliver business objectives and performance. Furthermore, to measure the success of category strategies and initiatives and to make to make any necessary changes thereto alongside key clients and stakeholders to bolster competitive advantage and position in the marketplace.
- A bachelors degree in business management, sales and/or relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Marketing leadership experience in consumer electronics and/or home appliances.
- Strong of understanding of core marketing and sales concepts and principles with a proven track record of their application and success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent numerical, analytical skill and forecasting techniques.
- Strong Excel capabilities, including understanding and practical application of V-Lookups, Pivot Tables and similar functions. In particular, using Excel as a tool to generate easy-to-read, concise and practical reports highlighting sales and client information.
