We are seeking a creative and passionate Head of Brand Marketing to join our senior management team. The ideal candidate will lead the Brand Marketing team, redefining and transforming our brand while developing and implementing our brand marketing strategy. The focus will be on driving brand relevance and distinctiveness to achieve best-in-class brand presence and customer engagement. This role also involves delivering the communication strategy, loyalty and retention marketing, content creation, and product marketing. A passion for conservation, sustainability, and driving positive impact at scale is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Brand Marketing and communication strategy to position the brand as the most appealing camps and lodge brand in East Africa.
  • Grow website visits via owned (email, organic social, direct to website, collateral) and earned (PR, influencers, referral) media channels.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the creation and delivery of branding & communications plan and budgets.
  • Oversee the execution of always-on and one-off campaigns to ensure effective and efficient use of investment to deliver short- and long-term metrics.
  • Plan and organise marketing content creation from across the organisation to serve the wider organisation's teams.
  • Ensure brand consistency and tone/voice across each brand touch point, finding partners and influencers to build greater brand awareness.
  • Work with in-house and outsourced PR expertise to drive customer interaction and engagement through improved customer communication and deeper customer knowledge.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the target customer and how to reach and communicate effectively with them.
  • Create, build, and maintain influencer brand relations.
  • Work with senior stakeholders across teams to ensure that the 'customer experience' is at the forefront of all business decisions.
  • Continually measure and report performance of all brand marketing campaigns, assessing against goals (ROI and KPIs).
Qualifications And Skills
  • Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years' experience in Marketing & brand.
  • Proven track record of successfully evolving and growing brands.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing marketing strategies.
  • Profound understanding of broad marketing best practices, with a pedigree of delivering quantifiable commercial results.
  • Proven skills in developing and nurturing a visual language to target customers for a brand or in a similar setting.
