Job description

Crypto School is a rapidly growing startup within the Crypto Banter community, dedicated to providing crypto education to a global audience. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Data to lead our data-driven initiatives and ensure the efficient operation of our verification processes with exchange partners. As the Head of Data, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data strategy, implementing systems, and collaborating with various teams to drive the success of Crypto School.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy to make Crypto School a data-driven organization
• Design and implement the necessary systems, tools, and infrastructure to collect, store, analyze, and visualize data effectively
• Collaborate with exchange partners as the main technical point of contact to automate the student verification process and ensure a seamless experience
• Investigate and optimize the verification process to minimize potential points of failure and enhance efficiency
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive decision-making and improve operational performance
• Utilize statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies to support data-driven decision-making across the organization
• Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and engineering teams to gather data requirements and develop data-driven solutions
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and provide recommendations for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or computer science
• At least 2 years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably in a startup environment or a fast-paced industry
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
• Strong experience working with APIs and SQL databases for data extraction and manipulation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies
• Understanding of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Mixpanel, along with tracking implementation best practices
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with product, marketing, and engineering teams
